Since being established in 2003 the Storax Racking Supplies Team has received recognition both locally and nationally for our emphasis on providing good service and quality products. Anybody can say that they have a strong service ethos, but it’s obviously satisfying to be assessed independently by others and have them reach the same conclusion!

During 2005 and 2007, Storax Supplies won regional business awards in several categories, including New Business of the Year, Business of the Year and Team of the Year.

These awards were voted for by a local branch of a national bank, local newspapers, business networking organisations and the regional council.

In 2011 we were presented with our first national award, the ‘Shield of Honour’ from SHEDA.

This award was determined by taking votes from all members of the SHEDA organisation.
Standing for the ‘Storage and Handling Equipment Distributor Association’ SHEDA members comprised of traders within the logistics industry: SHEDA was subsequently superceded by the Sema Distributor Group (SDG).

It has been particularly gratifying in recent years to win awards from the Sema Distributor Group (SDG). The annual ‘Supplier of the Year Award’ was introduced when the SDG was formed in late 2011; the first awards were presented in 2012.

The rules of the competition allow all SDG member companies the opportunity to vote for their favourite supplier and Storax Racking Supplies have been placed in the top 3 in each of the first 3 years of the competition – including having twice been awarded 1st place.

In 2014, to ensure rigour across the SDG membership, SEMA commissioned QCS International – an independent quality standards consultancy – to audit all SDG member companies. The audit was conducted on each member company’s site and covered key elements of the business. Storax Supplies passed all aspects of the audit with flying colours and was duly awarded the SEMA Quality Assurance scheme Certificate of Achievement.
